Hoosier Energy launches new economic development website
Hoosier Energy has recently launched a full redesign and overhaul of its economic development website to further support economic growth throughout central and southern Indiana and southeastern Illinois.
The update to hoosiersites.com combines a cleaner, refreshed look with responsive design that allows ease of viewing on a tablet, phone or desktop. It also provides enhanced access to economic development tools and calculators.
Integration of LOIS, a sites and buildings database, brings new demographic research tools to the site search process, and better incorporates the Illinois service area of Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative into the Hoosier Energy website. Updates to the tax abatement and workers compensation tax estimators avoid i-frames, making those tools quicker and better suited for the responsive design format on small screens.
The Hoosier Energy Economic Development website redesign received input from local economic development professionals during the development process. These experts provided guidance in prioritizing the information the site provides, such as a site search, tax calculator, labor demographics and trends, and financing and incentives.
"We are excited about the redesigned Economic Development website," said Jeff Quyle, Hoosier Energy Economic Development Coordinator. "It is an improvement to an already powerful tool that allows us to help local economic development organizations achieve their goals, giving them the competitive edge they need to bring economic success to communities throughout Indiana and Illinois. And the new firm that designed it is Gray Loon Marketing Group, a firm right out of Evansville, Ind."
